YAT-GAI AU – FOUNDER AND CEO
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][vc_column_text]Mr. Au is the founder and CEO of Regencell. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, he began his career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and ING Barings. He has completed over US$4 billion worth of deals and won many prestigious M&A awards. Notable deals include the US$750 million acquisition of Philippine Long Distance Telephone, the US$650 million acquisition of Indofood and the US$1.8 billion secondary placement for 40% interest in Hagemeyer, all of which were executed on behalf of First Pacific Company Limited. He is an active property, technology and biotech investor.
Over the years, Yat-Gai has personally seen the amazing recovery of many ADHD and ASD patients using a particular Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment. He established Regencell in 2015, after witnessing notable improvements in many cases, including close family members who had shown ADHD and ASD symptoms. Yat-Gai is now dedicating his professional efforts and personal funds to bringing the natural formula to patients, families and caregivers around the globe.
Yat-Gai is passionate about participating in and funding charitable activities for the elderly, gifted students and the financially underprivileged in Hong Kong and USA. During the 2020 COVID19 outbreak, he has donated over 200,000 masks to hospitals, elderlies and needy families. YI-CHUNG CHAO – DIRECTOR AND SPECIAL ADVISOR
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][vc_column_text]Dr. Chao is a California board certified TCM doctor, as well as a successful entrepreneur and a management leader in Silicon Valley.
His journey in TCM started when his then 7-year-old son was diagnosed with ASD and subsequently received the TCM Practitioner’s treatment. It transformed his son from a disengaged, moody boy to a confident young man who completed his Master’s degree in June 2020. Intrigued by the successful treatment using TCM, Dr. Chao started learning and eventually obtained a master’s degree in TCM in Silicon Valley. After passing California’s board certified TCM doctor exam in 2017, Dr. Chao has formally immersed himself in the R&D of the medical cases of the TCM Practitioner and continues to learn under his guidance.
Prior to TCM, Dr. Chao was a co-founder and CTO of Nasdaq listed Telenav in Silicon Valley. Exercising his engineering training in engineering, navigation and leadership, Dr. Chao managed Telenav’s international team of 500+ engineers across US, China, and Europe.
Dr. Chao obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the National Taiwan University, a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. These educational experiences have provided him solid engineering knowledge and life-long learning capabilities.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][vc_column_text]
JAMES CHUNG – CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][vc_column_text]Mr. Chung is the Chief Strategy Officer of Regencell Bioscience Ltd. He has joined Regencell Bioscience Ltd. since May 2015. He brings 15 years of experience in various leading roles. Prior to Regencell, Mr. Chung managed the Asia equities and derivatives electronic trading platform at Investment Technology Group, where he gained extensive banking and finance experience.
Prior to that, he worked at Sungard Financial Systems, providing front to back trading and risk management software solutions for banks. He also gained experiences in different roles from sales and accounting management, project management, technology and business analyst when he worked at a startup hedge fund IT consulting business. Mr. Chung started his career as a telecommunication engineer at Hutchison Global Crossing and eventually led a small team of engineers.
Mr. Chung is a graduate of Quantitative Finance from the Management Science and Engineering Department at Stanford University and Telecommunications Technology from British Columbia Institute of Technology.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][vc_column_text]
ANTONIA ASSANG – SVP OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][vc_column_text]Ms. Assang has more than 20 years of experience in research and analysis and business strategic planning. She joined Regencell in December 2014 and has conducted extensive research and analysis on TCM.
Prior to Regencell, she had co-founded Mind Base International Limited in Hong Kong, providing business consulting and strategic planning services. She had successfully structured and established partnerships between local and overseas businesses, such as, negotiated exclusive distributorship and obtained import license for 31 items of baby food, that are manufactured by a US based company, in China, Hong Kong and Macau; identified potential suppliers of EV batteries in the US for a China based car accessories supplier and established a Memorandum of Understanding for a China-US joint venture; analyzed reserves, production forecast, risk factors, investment requirements and ROI of a lead and zinc mine investment opportunity in Sichuan, China and successfully advised on an investment deal.
Before returning to Hong Kong in year 2000, Antonia had worked for an oil company in the US for 6 years as a production analyst. She had worked closely with the executive management on investment and acquisition projects, performed financial analysis on global oil and gas properties that are potential acquisition targets and provided sound evaluations and delivered reports of recommendation to executive management.
